Rebecca Guralnik
Camp Director
Rebecca Guralnik is excited to continue her camp journey with Beth El Day Camp. After graduating from Brandeis University, Rebecca worked at Foundation for Jewish Camp as the Day Camp Fellow. Rebecca recently graduated with a MSW from Columbia School of Social Work and a Master in Jewish Studies from the Jewish Theological Seminary. During this dual degree program, Rebecca interned at Selfhelp Community Services and UJA-Federation of New York. Rebecca is happy to be back at camp and cannot wait to create many wonderful and memorable summers for all of our campers.
Zoe Schein
Assistant Camp Director
Zoe Schein is thrilled to join the Beth El Day Camp team as Assistant Director! Zoe is a graduate of Barnard College and holds a Masters in Secondary English Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. After working at the 92nd Street Y, JCC Association of North America, and teaching in New York City public schools, she is excited to bring her years of experience as a camp professional, educator, and parent to her role at Beth El Day Camp. Zoe lives in New Rochelle with her husband and two children, both campers at Beth El Day Camp!
Sharone Halperin
Camp Nurse
Sharone is excited to be working at Beth El Day Camp as our Camp Nurse. When she was a teenager, Sharone worked at Beth El Day Camp as a CIT and counselor. She had such a meaningful experience that she had to return with her children! Sharone is a proud mom of four, all of whom have attended camp. Sharone has been a nurse for over 16 years. She holds her bachelor’s in nursing from the College of New Rochelle and a Masters in Clinical Nurse Leadership from Sacred Heart University. Most of Sharone’s nursing career has been in neonatal intensive care. Sharone has a passion for parent education and has been a parent mentor for many years. She most recently became a #1 best selling author as a co-author of the book Dare to Care: Healthcare Superheroes Share Stories of Resilience, Hope & Inspirations.
